My current ISP has greatly increased our download/upload speeds recently. Although, they’ve gone to DOCSIS 2 and my modem is not compatible, so I’m stuck with  the old speed. I’m debating over buying a new modem, most likely the Motorola 5120. If I decide to go this route am I going to need to contact my ISP or can I simply switch the modems and get on the high speed.
